Welcome to Ebonwatch!
Welcome To Ebonwatch!
We hope you will enjoy your time in Tyria, and you'll make a lot of new friends!
What Should I Do First?
Roster
Please make sure you add all your characters to the roster here on the forums to be able to sign up for events and other activities we organize via the Event Calendar. You can do this by clicking "Roster" at the top of the screen, then scrolling down and filling the necessary informations under the "Add a character" tab.
Is There Anything Else I Should Know?
Use of Forums
Be aware that, although we don't force anyone to frequently visit the forums, we do use them quite a bit for arranging events and even discussing guild policies etc. So, if you want to know what's going on and be able to have your say, do visit the forums regularly (or don't complain when things happen or change without your agreement!)
Events
All members have the ability to add events to the calendar here on the website (and if, for some reason, you don't seem to be able to, let someone know!). Feel free to plan your own events - whether they be questing events, raids or roleplay - and add them. If you're uncertain how an event might proceed or who might be interested, you may want to begin by posting the idea to the forum. It also won't do any harm to advertise an event on the forum anyway!
Guild Chat Channel
Guild chat is for both OOC and IC use. Please remember to be friendly and polite to other members at all times and keep within the tone of the guild. Remember that our guild comprises of many ages, genders and nationalities; overtly insulting, sexual, racist or crude behaviour will not be tolerated. Please think before you type, as what might seem of little consequence to you may be offensive to others!
What Should I Do If I Have Problems?
If you have any problems in Guild Wars 2, whether with the guild as a whole, or issues with other members, please don't hesitate to contact an officer.
Of course, officers are subject to the same free-and-easy attitude as everyone else, so if one isn't on hand when you want one, contacting officers via Guildlaunch message is just as viable as speaking to them in-game.
Further Guidelines:
- We should all be as tolerant as we can be of everything but intolerance. We should all be allowed to speak our views freely and to disagree, but no one should be insensitive or unfeeling towards others and their points of view.
- We should each take charge of our own gaming experiences. We should have no expectations of others to be responsible for our activities or our morale. If you want something to happen, you're at liberty to try to arrange it. If something could be improved, feel free to try to improve it.
- Be as reliable as you can be in the arrangements you make with others, and be as clear and communicative as you are able with respect to the likelihood and timing of your availability, and in notifying others if circumstances change.
- Things said by guildmates in relatively private channels or circumstances should be treated as being in respectful confidence, and not be casually divulged by others.
