Guild Charter and Rules
Ebonwatch Guild Charter and Rules
Ebonwatch aims to be a mature, casual and friendly guild, with light RP thrown into the mix. Casual and RP are optional - friendly and mature is required.
Behavior
Guild members are expected to behave respectfully, or at least cordially, with guild members.
In public groups, fractals, dungeons, guild members should act in a manner that does not badly reflect upon the guild as a whole.
Scammers, ninja looters, gold sellers and twits are not acceptable.
Representing
Representing is not mandatory, but strongly advised: you only have access to our guild chat if you are representing the guild. Also earning influence is the only way our guild can potentially grow.
Membership
Members start out as recruits, and will remain so for a period of at least two weeks while we get to know you, and you get to know us. If at the end of this time we both feel that we fit together, you will be granted full membership.
Roleplaying
Attending roleplaying events is not required, nor are you required to always act in-character in the game world. However, we ask that you respect others wish to RP, and not interrupt (and certainly not mock) the roleplay of others.
One requirement we do have is that you must have a name that is consistent with the game's theme and setting. (No Gandalfs, Legolases, Llegolases, Lleggollases or Omgwheremyepixats)
Looting
In guild groups and dungeons, loot is NBG (Need Before Greed) until further notice. In groups with non-guild members, loot rules are up to the group. Ninjaing or otherwise disrupting non-guild runs and groups is severely frowned upon.
Banking
Ebonwatch owns a guild treasure trove, which allows us to put many items in the guild bank. These items are usually up for grabs - if you need them. This is one of our ways of helping new characters to grow. Feel free to contribute with food, jewelry, bags and other useful stuff - but contacting an officer to vaildate the importance of these items are strongly advised. Bank privileges are dependant upon rank, you gain access to this after you have become a full member.
Exploits
Players using bugs that allow to more easily gain gold/loot/defeat encounters as described in ArenaNet's Terms of Service, will be given one warning if they are found to be abusing these bugs consistently. If you come across an exploitable bug, please report it using the "report bug" feature, and stop using the bug until it is fixed. Failure to do so may lead from repercussions from ArenaNet as well as from guild management.
